Apigee helps companies accelerate their digital transformation. Their API platform allows clients to securely open up their own APIs to find new revenue streams. To safely go where their customers have already gone.
our challenge – To drive leads and position Apigee as the thought leader in the API space — making sure that each touchpoint contributed to the greater story of Apigee.
We helped Apigee’s marketing team manage and deliver an intensive marketing program, combining demand generation campaigns, in-person experiences for their clients and prospects, as well as brand and thought leadership initiatives. Being their brand guardian, we maintained a fast-paced schedule of campaigns and communications while staying surprising and innovative.
For over two years, Sköna built a strong brand platform during Apigee’s tremendous growth and ultimate IPO. Shortly thereafter, Google paid $625 million for Apigee in the Spring of 2016. Maybe we can’t take full credit, but being a little proud doesn’t hurt!

The conference was really successful. We doubled our number of attendees from the previous year. The signage and branding onsite looked awesome and really brought the venue to life.

impact for physical and digital worlds
Creating brand impact, thought leadership, and leads requires the use of multiple virtual and physical channels, as well as new channels created from scratch. Ours included the development of Apigee’s conference experience – from website to signage to collateral – for “I Love APIs” in Silicon Valley and Europe. We also created a brand and web app for the ‘CIO Upload’ podcast series, which features interviews with CIOs sharing stories of their digital transformation. Last but not least, Sköna developed the design of Apigee’s 2016 city tour that saw Apigee take their message and offerings to existing and prospective customers across the United States.
