What’s going on in our world – design, B2B marketing, inspiration and a lot of Swedishness.

Welcome Minnie!

Food is a serious business at Skona, I have to say. Our #lunch channel on Slack is always on fire I can never keep up with the conversation.

We have finally branched out from just employing Swede; Meet Minnie Tantiphipop, our newest visual designer.

How did you end up in the USA?

I got a high school scholarship in 2011. It was amazing. However, I was placed in a town called Prairie Farm, Wisconsin. It was probably the most extreme climate and cultural differences from Bangkok where I was from. I lived there for a year before moving to San Francisco.

What does a day at Skona look like for you?

I spend most of my day tackling projects for our digital clients, collaborating with other designers and developers to solve communication problems with the help of design. That’s my job.

if I would go to Bangkok what can I not miss?

Night market of course! It’s like the biggest annual food festival that you can go to almost every night. If you go to Bangkok, just like any travels, keep your mind open and ready to experience an entirely new culture. You’ll have a wonderful time.

What do you miss, besides family?

I honestly miss hot and humid year round summer in Thailand. Well, maybe not the year-round part…but I miss wearing summer clothes. And I miss the food. But you can get great Thai food at Farmhouse here in San Francisco.

We have an Sköna office in Sweden, what do you think about opening one in Bangkok?

I’m not sure you would be able to handle the heat.
