What’s going on in our world – design, advertising, inspiration and a lot of Swedishness.

Is Thomas an American or a Swede?

First impression of Sköna? It’s a small, but tightly knit team. There’s a nice startup-esque feeling here, which I really enjoy. And they start to talk about lunch around 9.30ish.

This is Thomas, our new account service intern. Do you think he is a Swede or an American? I mean, if you have followed our blog it might seem like we have a preference for bringing Swedes onto the team. So, let’s play a game; based on Thomas’ answers to these questions, can you guess where he is from?

4th of July or Midsummer?Midsummer

Soccer or American Football? Football.

Snaps or Bud Light? Snaps all day long.

Ok, snaps or whiskey? Hmmm… that’s a tie.

Disneyworld or Skansen*? I have to go withSkansen.

Volvo or Dodge? Dodge.

Pickled herring or Spam? That is so hard …I have to pick one? Pickled herring then.

So, what’s your guess, is Thomas a Swede or an American? Scroll down for the right answer.

Here you can stroll through five centuries of Swedish history, from north to south, with a real sense of the past all around in the historical buildings and dwellings, peopled by characters in period dress and a lot of animals. Every year a huge TV-show is aired from here “Allsång på Skansen.” It brings together young and old to sing along. It’s explained here:

Thomas is actually both! Born in Sweden, but he has an American dad.
