Another Dreamforce has come to and end, and as San Francisco is emptied of “Trailblazers” from all over the world, we look back at the Dreamforce week that passed and at Sköna’s involvement this year.

Once every year, thousands descend upon downtown San Francisco to experience one of the most impressive feats in user conferences, connecting thought leaders, industry pioneers and thousands of business professionals. This is Dreamforce. Bringing together companies in the Salesforce ecosystem, known as “Ohana”, business leaders gain insights and share best practices. Salesforce has coined a name for these industry leaders & innovators as “Trailblazers”, and Dreamforce honors their technologies and achievements.

In its 16th year, and with over 175,000 attendees expected this year, the event is by far the biggest B2B user conference in San Francisco. IT, Sales, and Marketing leaders all converge to both learn and share the latest in Salesforce technology and the related ecosystem. Attendees hail from all industries, from Artificial Intelligence, Finance, Software, SaaS, Cyber Security, and more. The four-day event is packed with keynotes, speakers, best practice sessions, workshops, networking opportunities, and more. An extensive expo area is home to Salesforce’s partners, who showcase their product via booths & activations.

This year, Sköna was honored to help with both digital and on-site/activation elements for one of our Swedish clients, Tacton Systems, a provider of manufacturing software solutions for smarter business.

We helped Tacton design their booth and campaign around their presence at Dreamforce. The campaign included everything from the event landing page, featuring product-related assets and a fun infographic of what to pack for Dreamforce, to digital ads and emails. For their in-booth customer experience, Tacton wanted to avoid wasteful plastic giveaways. So we worked in paper instead, creating an origami hand-out with instructions for how to fold sonobe (a modular form of origami), and how to assemble the item into a cube shape. The modular origami tied nicely into Tacton’s core messaging: Connecting Customer with Product and Factory in one harmonious whole.

With this year’s Dreamforce over, we are already thinking about next year, and we look forward to helping our clients with their marketing objectives for Dreamforce 2019!
