Hello, meet Jaimee Fair, our new Account Coordinator and language expert (she speaks English, French, and Japanese, can read and understand a lot of Spanish and Portuguese, knows some Italian and Korean, and is thinking about learning Russian).
I know that you are from Buffalo, New York. What do you miss the most from your hometown?
Loganberry (the drink), Anchor Bar wings, and snow.
You have lived in Japan, how come?
It was for a university exchange program. It’s where I really came of age and learned how to be an adult, so it is my home away from home. Plus, I really miss ramen and efficient transportation. If you go, I recommend drinking plum wine in Yoyogi Park during cherry blossom season, checking out the fashion and magic of Takeshita Street in Harajuku, and the extra fatty, thick broth ramen at Musashiya in Hiyoshi.
Finally, give me three facts about you and some hidden talent.
If I could only eat one meal for the rest of my life, it would be raclette. Libraries and bookstores are my favorite places on the planet. The last dance I choreographed featured a throne made of men. Hidden talents … My tarot reading is pretty good, I am a kickass flutist, and I guess I’m a decent storyteller. I wrote my first novella trilogy by age thirteen, and my current (anonymous) stuff has a steady following. But you didn’t hear it from me.
